Erik spent his childhood living in Amboy, WA, a tiny rural town on the road to Mt. St. Helens – and yes, one of his first memories was the Mt. St. Helens eruption! In his early twenties he moved to Skagit County, Washington to raise a family, and spent about 20 years there before moving to Montana (to join our team!) in June of 2021.
Erik has a strong heart to serve, and his varied background provides many skills that he draws from to do so. He has an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, and served in administrative support for the county-wide Emergency Medical Services department in Skagit County for many years. He also worked as a certified Real Estate Appraiser, and appraised over 500 residential properties. However, most of his life's focus has been serving others in ministry, including hosting a housing program for college students that was full of energy and life.
Erik and his lovely wife Angie have three great kids who are quickly coming into adulthood. He and his wife are a great team who love spending time together as a couple and as a family. In his spare time, Erik also enjoys playing music, especially Folk music and Celtic music. He plays piano, mandolin, and a concertina, though not all to the same ability. He also loves reading, bird watching, and playing board or card games. Erik is a detail-oriented, authentic, and trustworthy professional who is always striving in the pursuit of excellence. He loves the care that Harris Financial has for our clients, we are thrilled to have Erik’s excellent brain and caring heart to serve you!
